How did you get into pediatrics?
I’ve always wanted to be a doctor, if not then a teacher. I owe the bourgeoning of my love for pediatrics to my mentor during medical school, an exceptional general pediatrician.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Where do you live?
I live in Flatbush, Brooklyn

What do you enjoy most about working in your neighborhood office?
Meeting a being part of a community that is dedicated to patient driven care.

What keeps you motivated?
Children’s endless thirst for knowledge of any kind; parents’ dedication to raising their child in the healthiest way possible; clinicians committed to providing quality care, advocating for child and family wellbeing.

What do you do for fun?
Staying active and healthy, nature in all its glory, gardening, music and concerts, creativity.
