Tribeca Pediatrics is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and compassionate environment for both our patients and our team members. As a trusted primary care pediatric practice with offices throughout the NYC metro area, we recognize the deep trust families place in us—and we hold ourselves to the highest standards of care, communication, and professionalism.
1. Commitment to Protecting Our Staff
We firmly believe that every team member—whether clinical or administrative—deserves to work in an environment free from abuse and harassment.
Zero Tolerance for Abuse
We have a zero-tolerance policy for abuse, threats, harassment, or aggressive behavior directed at our staff. This includes, but is not limited to:
Name-calling, or use of discriminatory language
Threatening language or physical intimidation
Repeated disrespect toward staff despite efforts to resolve concerns respectfully
If such behavior occurs, the following steps will be taken:
Staff are empowered to immediately end the interaction if they feel unsafe and reach out to their manager.
Management will follow up with the family involved to assess the situation and determine next steps, which will include appropriate corrective steps including and up to termination of care.
Tribeca Pediatrics reserves the right to discontinue the provider-family relationship in order to protect staff wellbeing.
2. Commitment to Compassionate, Respectful Care
We know that parenting can be stressful and emotional—especially when a child is unwell. Our mission is to partner with parents and caregivers during both everyday and difficult moments with compassion, patience, and understanding.
De-escalation & Listening First
Our staff are trained to:
Listen actively and empathetically
Address frustrations or concerns without judgment
De-escalate tension through clear, respectful communication
Offer reasonable accommodations when possible
Transparency & Accountability
We commit to:
Explaining policies and care decisions clearly
Owning any mistakes and working to make things right
Valuing feedback from parents and patients
3. Shared Responsibility for a Positive Relationship
Healthy relationships are built on mutual respect. We ask that all families:
Communicate concerns calmly and constructively
Allow us the opportunity to address issues and misunderstandings
Treat every member of our team with the respect they would expect in return
In turn, we promise to:
Treat every family with compassion, regardless of background or circumstance
Be flexible and accommodating within reason
Prioritize the emotional and physical wellbeing of both our patients and our staff
4. What to Do if You Have a Concern
If you feel that your interaction with Tribeca Pediatrics fell short of these values, please reach out to feedback@tribecapediatrics.com. Our leadership team will review and respond promptly.
We’re here for your child—and for you.
Let’s continue to build a space where families feel supported and staff feel safe, respected, and empowered to provide the best care possible.
