Q & A with Dr. Amy Du

How did you get into pediatrics?
Working with children is such a privilege – you get to impact someone’s life during their most formative years. As a new mother, I’m also so excited to support families through the crazy but rewarding process of parenting. I also love that pediatrics applies scientific thought to children’s upbringing to ensure the best outcomes. Finally, children are just fun!

Where did you grow up?
The Netherlands (Eindhoven, Leiden, Groningen).

Where do you live?
Battery Park City.

What do you enjoy most about working in your neighborhood office?
I live close to the Tribeca office, and I am so excited to provide care to my neighbors. I have met other parents in the area and found them to be brilliant, compassionate, and dedicated people – I am thrilled to work with them.

What keeps you motivated?
My little patients and their families!

What do you do for fun?
Spending time with my daughter – she grows so quickly!
