Q & A with Dr. Aneeqa Babar

How did you get into pediatrics?
Before going to medical school I volunteered as an EMT and always loved being able to care for the pediatric patients. I had a feeling when I started medical school that I would ultimately choose pediatrics as a specialty, and honestly, there was nothing else that ever came close to the joy of being able to help take care of children and watch them grow.

New Jersey.
Where do you live?
Jersey City.

What are you looking forward to in your neighborhood office?
I’m a New Jersey native, so being able to practice in one of the state’s most vibrant cities is so exciting to me.

What keeps you motivated?
I have always loved to learn and teach. I feel like I’ve come to the point in my life where I am now able to successfully do both through work, and beyond, which is so exciting and rewarding to me. I’m always looking for new ways to expand my horizons.

What do you do for fun?
I absolutely love books and movies!
