How did you get into pediatrics?
Before becoming a doctor, I worked as an emergency room nurse, where I had the chance to care for patients of all ages. One day, I was assigned to the pediatric bay—and I instantly fell in love! I also come from a big family and am the oldest of six siblings, so caring for little ones has always been a natural part of my life. It felt like a full-circle moment when I realized that pediatrics was where I truly belonged.

What do you enjoy most about working in your neighborhood office?
I’m so excited to be working in Sunnyside! I love how vibrant and diverse the community is—it’s one of those rare neighborhoods where people from all walks of life come together and really look out for one another. There’s a strong sense of connection here, and I feel lucky to be part of it. I’m looking forward to building relationships with families and growing alongside the community.
What keeps you motivated?
The children and families I care for are my biggest source of motivation. Watching kids grow, hit milestones, and thrive—especially when I’ve been part of their journey—is incredibly rewarding.
What do you do for fun?
I love walking around and discovering all the hidden gems New York City has to offer—especially its parks and restaurants! There’s always something new to explore. I’m also a big reader, so when I’m not out and about, you can usually find me tucked away with a good book.
