How did you get into pediatrics?
I am drawn to primary care pediatrics because it offers the opportunity to build lasting, trust-based relationships with patients and their families across generations. Growing up, I had a close relationship with my pediatrician, and that experience inspired me to become a trusted presence for others. I genuinely love working with children—their resilience, honesty, and curiosity are incredibly rewarding. I also find deep meaning in reassuring parents during stressful moments; their trust and gratitude have been powerful motivators for me throughout my clinical experiences.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Queens, New York. Opting to stay close to my family during my educational years and giving back to the community that raised me is incredibly important. I couldn’t imagine building my career anywhere else.
Where do you live now?
I still live in Queens, New York — within 30 minutes of my niece and nephews.
What do you look forward to most about working in your neighborhood office?
What I look forward to most about working in my neighborhood office is the chance to build long-term, meaningful relationships with families in a community I know and love. Being a lifelong New Yorker, I feel a deep connection to the people here, and I’m excited to provide care that’s not only clinically excellent but also grounded in trust and cultural understanding. Making a positive impact in the lives of families who might also be my neighbors is both humbling and deeply motivating.
What keeps you motivated?
What keeps me motivated is the privilege of being part of a family’s journey—watching children grow and supporting parents along the way. There’s nothing more fulfilling than knowing you’ve helped ease someone’s anxiety, answered a worried parent’s question, or made a child smile during a visit.
What do you do for fun?
I love experimenting with new recipes or putting a twist on classic comfort foods. I’m also a big fan of rom-coms, whether in books or movies—they’re my favorite way to relax and unwind. Spending time with my niece and nephews is one of the best parts of my week; they keep me laughing and remind me to enjoy the little things. I also really enjoy traveling with my husband—it’s a wonderful way for us to explore new places and create lasting memories together.
