Q&A with Dr. Crystal Richards

How did you get into pediatrics?
I’ve always loved working with children. Pediatrics felt like the perfect way to combine my interest in science, teaching, and healthcare while also building meaningful relationships with children and their families.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Miami, Florida.

Where do you live?
I live in New York, New York.

What do you look forward to most about working in your neighborhood office?
I’m looking forward to caring for such a diverse community, getting to know the families in the neighborhood, and, of course, exploring all of the great food Harlem has to offer.

What keeps you motivated?
My family keeps me motivated and inspires me to continue growing both personally and professionally.

What do you do for fun?
I enjoy reading, staying active, and finding ways to spend time outside of work doing things that help me recharge.
