Q & A with Dr. Melissa Morrissey

How did you get into pediatrics?
I followed my interests in Behavioral and Developmental Psychology and Neurology. Then I discovered a passion for babies and enjoyed the unique relationship between the parent, child, and pediatrician.

Where did you grow up?
Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Where do you live?
Bronxville, New York.

What do you enjoy most about working in your neighborhood office?
I like sharing excellent local support and resources that I discover as I raise my own family.

What keeps you motivated?
Most children are healthy, but there are a few that we need to find before they get very sick. I focus on each individual child and family, always looking for those few that are at risk, and that motivates me to do my best every time.

What do you do for fun?
I love to read, cook, play all kinds of games with my children, and play tennis with my husband.
