Q & A with Dr. Nowshin (Sonia) Sayed

How did you get into pediatrics?
I always had a feeling I would go into pediatrics when I started medical school. Once I went through my clinical rotations, I knew pediatrics was the right fit for me – I have so much fun spending time with the kids, but also really enjoy getting to know the family supporting them.

Where did you grow up?
Gaithersburg, MD (about 30 minutes outside of Washington, DC)

Where do you live?
Moving to Park Slope this summer!

What do you enjoy most about working in your neighborhood office?
I love all the restaurants and coffee shops around the Fort Greene area and feel very lucky to call this my workplace.

What keeps you motivated?
Knowing that I’ve gotten my patients and their families back on track to a healthier and happier life is truly such a rewarding feeling.

What do you do for fun?
I love exploring neighborhoods by trying out their restaurants and walking through their shops/boutiques. And of course I’ll never pass up on a good movie night.
