Flu and COVID Vaccines – Scheduling Open on the Portal

It’s that time of year again; flu and COVID vaccines are now available at our offices, just in time for the fall back-to-school season! Our flu and COVID vaccine clinics can be scheduled online through the patient portal. Both vaccines will be available and can be administered during your child’s well visit, or during a scheduled clinic time.

If your child is scheduled or due for a well visit before October 1st, there is no need to schedule an additional appointment. Your child can receive their flu and/or COVID shot during their visit in order to limit multiple trips to the office, and siblings accompanying at the visit can also get their vaccines.

Flu vaccine

We have stocked the Sanofi Pasteur flu vaccine (preservative free).
The flu vaccine can be administered to children 6 months and older.
If your child is under 9 years old and has never received a flu vaccine or only one dose prior, they will need two doses this season.

COVID vaccine

We have stocked the Moderna COVID vaccine (preservative free).
All of our offices will have a seasonal supply of the COVID vaccine for children 6 months through 11 years old.
We do not yet have the supply of COVID vaccines for 12 years+. Once shipment arrives, we will send out a notice. The 12 years+ COVID vaccine will only be available in select offices below:

  • Hastings-on-Hudson (Westchester)
  • Warren Street (Manhattan)
  • Prospect Heights (Brooklyn)
  • Edgewater (New Jersey)
  • Children under 5 years who have never received a COVID vaccine will need two doses this season.
If your child recently had COVID, it is recommended to wait at least 3 months before vaccination.
There are no contraindications or limitations for the timing between receiving the flu or COVID vaccine and any other vaccine. Your child can receive the flu and COVID vaccine at the same time.

Scheduling is now available on the Patient Portal. An updated vaccine record can be printed from your child’s patient portal after the visit.
