During this season of giving, we’re proud to highlight our long-time friends at Little Essentials, and announce a series of donation drives to be held out of our offices, on select dates and times!

Little Essentials offers urgently-needed children’s supplies and parenting education to at-risk families living in poverty to promote the health, well-being, and safety of their children under five years of age. The organization collects donations on an ongoing basis from local families & community-based partners/businesses. LE volunteers sort and prepare individualized packages out of their Brooklyn Navy Yard warehouse. LE partners with 60+ NYC organizations, from shelters, social-service agencies, hospitals, and other community-based groups to distribute these urgently-needed donations to at-risk families.

In partnership with our Community Giving program and other organizations, LE also offers free educational workshops to low income NYC residents on topics ranging from maternal health, infant & toddler care, early reader literacy, GED preparation, housing rights & advocacy, financial literacy, support for parents & students with disabilities, and more!

There are also so many other ways you can give back through Little Essentials any time of the year:

• Volunteer with Little Essentials! Volunteers help sort donated children’s items at LE’s warehouse, volunteer professional services such as fundraising, copywriting, graphic design, social media management, and more!
• Gather a group of friends and family and host a diaper drive!
• Shop LE’s Wish Lists. LE is always in need of diapers, wipes, and infant hygiene items, as well as safe sleep and stroller gear. Shop their main wish list and high-need wish lists, for items their families are urgently in need of.
• Donate your new or gently used children’s supplies at their warehouse in the Brooklyn Navy Yard at 62 Flushing Ave Bldg 131, Suite 205 Brooklyn, NY 11205, or contact kyoko@littleessentials.org for inquiries.
